community mayhem raises money for a fantastic new playground
september 2019
Residents of our local village (Astwood) were keen to raise funds for their new play area and so Wild For Life agreed to hold a two day activity club, where all proceeds went straight to the play area fund.
We called the event Mud and Mayhem and hosted more than 40 children across two days, literally using a field, our bell tents and nature. It was hot, there wasn't much mud, but there was plenty of mayhem!
Outdoor cooking, tie dying, bird box building and bug hunting were just some of the activities on offer.
"what a great 2 days my son had. it gave him the chance to meet other local children and he loved making his gladiator suit from cereal boxes! ... our recycling has become a new source of things to play with"
